Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to https://decksbydak.com. These terms cover your use of our website and the basics of how we work together if you reach out about a project. We’ve kept the language plain because most of our customers are homeowners, not attorneys. By using this site, you agree to what’s below.

1. Use of Website

You’re welcome to browse our site, request estimates, and contact us. In return, we ask that you don’t do the things you’d expect: don’t try to break, hack, scrape at scale, or interfere with the site, and don’t submit information that isn’t yours or isn’t accurate. The site is provided “as is” for general information and lead intake.

2. Estimates & Quotes

Anything you see on our website — pricing ranges, sample projects, blog content — is for general information. It is not a binding estimate or quote.

Every real estimate from Decks by DAK Constructioncomes after an in-person or virtual consultation, where we look at the actual site, the materials you want, and the scope of the work. Pricing depends on materials, market conditions, site access, permitting, and similar factors and is subject to change until it’s captured in a signed contract. Estimates are typically valid for 30 days unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

3. Project Contracts

If we end up working together, the actual project — scope, price, schedule, payment terms, warranty, change orders, and everything else that matters — is governed by a separate written contract signed by you and DAK Construction. That signed contract is the controlling agreement for the work. Nothing on this website overrides or replaces it. If there’s ever a conflict between something on the site and your signed contract, the contract wins.

4. Intellectual Property

All photos, project images, written content, designs, logos, and branding on this site are the property of DAK Construction(or licensed to us) and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You’re welcome to share links to our pages, but please don’t copy, republish, or use our project photos or content elsewhere without written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

We do our best to keep this site accurate, but we can’t guarantee that every detail is current or that the site will always be available. To the fullest extent allowed by Virginia law, DAK Construction is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) this website. Liability for the actual project work is governed by your signed project contract, not by this section.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about this website that needs to go to court will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you’re okay with the new version.
